Maplewood Farm

A Peruvian Connection
Celebrating 25 years of Alpacas & Llamas

Maplewood Farm was established in 1983 by Jim Vickers, DVM and Nel Vickers as a veterinary facility and a working camelid farm.

Maplewood Farm became the home of the first Peruvian Llamas and Alpacas ever to arrive in the United States and they were hand selected by Dr. Vickers. The memorable Peruvian sales of '93 and '94 were held at Maplewood Farm.

Llamas and Alpacas, their health care, their nutrition and their fleece production has been the business of Maplewood Farm for the past 25 years. It has been a wonderfully exciting time span. This year, 2010, I have made my decision to retire with celebration not sadness. See the story of our history at Maplewood Farm, Celebrating 25 Years of Llamas & Alpacas 2010.

The Alpacas and Llamas on this site are now for sale, individually, in groups and all with 1 year financing. TAKE A LOOK, interested, give me a call or send an e-mail to answer your questions.

Located 5 hours north of Detroit in beautiful Northwest Michigan. Visitors are always welcome.
